Promise of Spring, Part 3

Here is the third and final post of my walk through the greenhouses of Allan Gardens, and the less-green reality of Toronto in March.

I always enjoy my time in the lush greenery of those greenhouses, and I truly have been enjoying the wonderfully warm weather that this weekend has brought to Toronto and area. Yet, Mother Nature does not instantly turn the world green the first day we see a little sun and warmer weather. Growth in Nature, and in ourselves, takes a little longer. So, The selection ends with a couple photos taken right after I left the verdant beauty of Allan Gardens.

Sometimes reality isn't so beautiful. But even inn the muddy world of near-spring in Toronto, there is always a little beauty. It, like love, is in the eye of the beholder!

The Promise of Spring, Part 2

Some more pics from today's little spring preview...

Some more will follow tomorrow! See you all then!

The Promise of Spring!

Today was lovely. The first hints of spring were in the air, and all but the largest piles of dirty ice-encrusted snow were rapidly becoming memories. What better day than today to go for a long, leisurely walk?

While the air was relatively warm, the view was somewhat less than inspiring. Dead debris from last year's growing season, the accumulated dirt and multiple months worth of until-recently frozen dog doo were not putting me in the mood for taking photos. So, I cheated a little on the season and headed to the always verdant greenhouses of Allan Gardens. There, at least, spring (and even summer) were well into their prime time.

I was not disappointed.  Here is the first of two or three blog entries that the photos will require...

Hope you enjoyed! See you again soon!!
